"In our separate lives as musicians we have each been involved in the creation of live music as a means of expressing the human psyche and its many facets, be it through teaching, performance, composition or therapy. In coming together to make this CD  we have also been on a journey. Beginning from a place of  meditation we approached each section as a short improvisation or “sound bite”. As we continued to explore and develop our ideas we learned what it means to stand in a place of spontaneity and trust, how to use certain improvisational skills for specific musical ends and something of  the relationship between the two.

When a crystal catches a beam of sunlight we see a prism of different colours. All of them contribute to the whole spectrum but some stand out more than others. So it is with the life-journey of each human soul. Here we have chosen just a few of the brightest colours that have caught our attention and inspired us.

Greatest benefit will be gained by listening to the whole CD as an ongoing journey, but each section can also be heard as a piece of music in its own right. Some are challenging, even bizarre; others are profound and beautiful. In every case we seek to depict an aspect of the mystery of the spiritual path. In visiting and expressing places of longing, pain, joy or surrender in our music making, we hope to empower the listener to journey more deeply into places of change and transformation."
