We meet in an old farmhouse belonging to Sarah’s family, two fields from the sea and with panoramic views of Snowdonia.

"As the magic lingers, my new found links to the Celtic mysteries and the deepening power of sound beckon me."

The land here is ancient and steeped in Celtic tradition. We work in a sacred space which includes a holy well.

"It was magical, nurturing, healing, connecting - all the things I hoped for."

Together we explore improvisation, voice work, silence, drawing and touch. Meditation and openness to spirituality underpin our time together.

"I loved to witness the sharing of others, and to feel a deep listening take place."

Sarah and Susan hold and guide the weekend which is devised as a mutually enriching time to share our work and to nurture one another. This includes practicalities such as preparing and cooking food together.

"I felt nourished on so many levels."

We regard this as one of the important and rejuvenating corner-stones of our working year and are delighted to welcome fellow professionals to this gathering.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that all of you have been at this part of my journey."

These two-day retreats are an opportunity for old friends to reconnect and for newcomers to join us.

"Thank you Susan and Sarah for making it all possible and for holding such a sacred space in which so many things happened."

We begin with a gathering on Friday afternoon followed by a Sound Bath on Friday evening which is open to the wider Abbey Community. This uses Tibetan and Crystal healing bowls, gongs and drums to support an experience of deep meditation and healing. This is a wonderful way to prepare for the weekend ahead.

"Thank you so much for suggesting the sound bath. It was the most heavenly experience and I drifted off very happily into calmness and peace."

No previous experience is needed.

“What an incredible range and depth. You created a safe space in which to explore those places we don’t usually allow ourselves to visit.”

We aim to create a container within which each participant can feel safe to work according to individual needs. There is also room for silence, personal time out and sharing of other modalities including movement, art or poetry.

"A memorable weekend. Thank you for the healing that you initiated."

Please note that in order to support group process, participants are asked to commit to the whole weekend

"Thank you everybody for all your precious offerings over the weekend, which for me, was one of wonder and inspiration."
